Official art I created for Marcher: Empires at War, depicting a Prussian 45M Barbarossa assault tank storming through a town against U.S. forces.
The twisted metal on the crushed truck was a fun challenge, as was conveying the motion, weight, and impact of the tank treading over it. To achieve this, I chose a low-angle shot (unusual for my style) that shows the tank's upward-tilting hull and gives it a sense of dominance.
Of course, I took my time drawing the tank's details: front mudguards dented by aggressive ramming, sparks and debris off the spinning tracks, hit marks on the frontal armour, and dust everywhere. I especially love how the cubist disruptive camouflage turned out.
